Real estate market in Croatia
During the last few years, real estate market in Croatia has shown rapid growth and it is one of the most dinamic markets in Europe. From the north coastal region of Istria to the south region of Dalmatia and the beautiful city of Dubrovnik, there are many houses and exclusive villas for sale at reasonable prices. Owning a property on the Adriatic coast as a holliday resort or for renting has many advantages. It is not only a good place to live and raise a family, but it is also an excelent business move. Real estate experts agree that the prices of houses and apartments will grow in the future and that there is a great chance that owning a property will proove to be a good investment. Buying a real estate can be complicated due to the various legal issues so it is also wise to contact local real estate agencies and lawyers with experience in that area to avoid any possible difficulties.
Dalmatia
Dalmatia is a region on the eastern shore of the Adriatic sea and Croatia's most southern province. It is known for its many islands and a rich history, which made it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. After the Croatian war of independance, Dalmatia has become one of the biggest building sites in the country with thousands of exclusive villas and apartment buildings being either built from scratch or restored throughout its teritory. Almost all of these properties are wxclusive houses that have their own pools and gardens, and some even have their own private beaches. One destination in Dalmatia is especialy well known throughout the world and that is Dubrovnik, a medieval city known for its beauty, history and many exclusive old villas available for rent or for sale. Other urban centers of the region are Split, Zadar and Sibenik, all of which are established tourist destinations. There are also many smaller towns in the inland of Dalmatia, known as the Zagora. Prices of real estate and land in these areas are relativly low and it makes them a perfect choice for anyone who is looking for a good investment, or simply wants something different.
Istria and Kvarner
Istria and Kvarner are two popular Croatian tourist regions located in the north Adriatic. They are famous for their developed tourist centers like Opatija, Crikvenica, Pula, Rovinj, Porec, and others. The northern Adriatic coast of Croatia is considered to be among the economically most developed regions of the country. The administrative center of Kvarner is Rijeka, the third largest city in Croatia, while Pula is considered to be the most important center in Istria, although the administrative center is legally Pazin in inner Istria. Istria is especially popular among foreign real estate investors. It's stone villas built in the style of old Istrian houses (often with an added pool) can be bought at affordable prices considering what they offer. Thousands of European, American and Russian citizens already own one of these, but there are a number being built all the time. If you have more money to spend, you can even go for the real thing and buy a real Istrian old stone house. Some renovation will probably be in order, but it is worth the trouble. Kvarner is not as famous as Istria, but it also offers some more "common" real estate for all those interested in creating their own little piece of heaven on the Adriatic coast. Opatija and Crikvenica with their rivieras offer an ideal place to spend your retirement days. A small apartment can be bought at a really cheap price, while those with deeper pockets can even go for a house or villa by the sea, or maybe or one of the islands. Well, to conclude, Istria and Kvarner offer a bit different surroundings than Dalmatia. It is all a bit calmer, with less noise, but a lot of opportunities.
