This is my personal choice of unique players who influenced generations of youngsters and there is always a posibility that someone else might have a diferent opinion on them, but all the players featured here are guaranteed top class and you'll most certainly enjoy their videos. Maradona
Armando Diego Maradona is definitely the best football player that Argentina ever had and some say he is the best player that ever lived. He won the 1986 World Championship and several trophies with Napoli, Barcelona, Boca Juniors, Valencia and several other clubs. Unfortunately, his career was marked with scandals involving drugs and doping abuse.

Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, also known as Ronaldinho Gaucho, is the best player of the new generation of footballers that emerged from Brasil.
Zinedine Zidane
Zinedine Zidane, the great Zizou, is considered to be the best midfield player of all times. He was born in Marseille and although he was of Algerian origin, he played his football for France. He was the champion of World and Europe with France and Champions League winner with Real Madrid.
Marco van Basten
Marco van Basten is one of the best strikers that ever lived, and one of the best Dutch football players of all time. His career was abrubtly ended by a terrible injury during one match for Milan.
Johann Cruyff
Johan Cruyff is the best Dutch player of all times. He was the leader of a legendary Ajax team in the mid 70's and the great generation of Holland.
Franz Beckenbauer
The legendary Franz Beckenbauer is the best defender ever, tha captain of the greatest Bayern Munich generation, legendary German national team and he was also a great coach. He is now the president of Bayern and the German football association. He was known as the Kaiser, meaning Emperor.
Davor Suker
Davor Suker was the Golben Boot of the France '98 World Cup when Croatia won the third place, and a legend of Dinamo Zagreb, Sevilla and Real Madrid. He is the best goalscorer of Croatia ever.
Oliver Kahn
Some say he is the best goalkeeper ever. The great Oliver Kahn led the average Germany football team to the World Championship finals in 2002 and won the best player award for that competition.
Gianfranco Zola
Gianfranco Zola was named by his Napoli team colleague Maradona as his succesor, and coming from Maradona, for some people the best player ever, it speaks for itself.

Your a moron Tiago. No player in history including CR7 had a nose and touch like Suker. Replace nothing! Possibly the purest goalscorer to ever play the game. His touch and goals were simply magic! Beautiful player to watch.

I know everyone has their own favorites, but this were the top players for me at that time. Cristiano was nowhere near the list at the time of it's creation, but I do agree that Ronaldo (Brasil) should have been included, I can't figure out how the hell I forgot to put him in there. Regarding those players left out, I am preparing a new list and it will include a bit more players than 10. Until then enjoy the videos!
Zola, Kahn and Davor Sukher? I like that you add some personal favorites and not just the standard top 10...
1. I think Buffon or Casillas are better goalies than Kahn
2. Boban was way cooler than Sukher
3. Del Piero or Roberto Baggio were way better then Zola

When we speak of great footballers that one can't do without mentioning their names when talking about football. I think it goes a long way and to me Ronaldo Delima is a professor of the beautiful game, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and possibly Xavi Hernandes should be included.

Lists are to the individual tastes,so personally I never take them serious at all.
But this list caught my eye and my first thought was,someone who does not know is football,only my personal thought.
One footballer that a knowledgeable person of the beautiful game would never miss out is Eusebio,check him out.
Just a few points of the man himself-
Eusebio scored 727 goals in 715 games.
Was voted European footballer of the year in 1965.
He helped Portugal reach third place in the 1966 World Cup.
Eusebio was the tournaments top scorer with 9 goals.
He won the golden boot for the 1966 FIFA World Cup.
Was voted 9th best footballer in a poll by IFFHS.
He played for Sport Lisbon e Benfica for 15 years and is the teams all-time top scorer.
That was just a few of Eusbio's achievements.

one the best footballers ever walked on this Earth has to be Roberto Baggio! legend!.... Buffon is the best goalkeepr allright, but he might be a bit young for this list, and for the same reason I wouldn`t go near C.Ronaldo....he has good abilities allright, but only time will tell if he`s really one of the greatest.....

I love how little research is in this type of a list. Top goal scorers for world cups were #1 Ronaldo 19 games 15 goals over 3 WCs, #2 Gerd Meuller(Germany in case your an idiot)13 games 14 goals over 2 WCs, #3(probably the best) Just Fontaine of France 6 games(thats right 6) 13 goals, and then we have Pele(the best in the world?) 13 games and 12 goals. Both Zinedine and Maradona are in the top 5 for cards which in my book disqualifies them from best ever because they are unreliable, undisciplined and could be taken out at any time.
The first four are my favs, try to include Ronaldo 9 as you said first. Plx edit this

The first line of this hub says that this will include players who have 'changed the game'. I'm not quite sure what it means but I think Lionel Messi is changing it right now. He is changing the way young players on the streets will want to play and the way defenders have to alter their approach.

The only player on your list i saw live was George Best. All the players you chose were in that select World class level, that is of course debatable. Baggio was an incredible player, his highlights package would take some beating. Stanley Matthews played untill he was forty nine and said he retired prematurely. Mind you i'm fifty eight and still playing ist div indoor. George Best was the greatest player i saw play, he could dribble both ways, head the ball perfectly and could take an incredible amount of stick. Ronaldhino didn't play great for long enough to fit on my list and putting him at No three is questionable. Great hub though and impossible to agree on. Ronaldinho created a new way of playing soccer, you could see how he played with his heart and brain at the same time, his fatal error was his lack of discipline, and unfortunately people dont see him as the player he was or is because of the bad image he left just years ago. You need talent and brain to deserve a place in that list, not just fast dribbling skills...which is the only thing that CR7 has......cmon people lets discover what is that special characteristic that a player must have to become a legend...!
